Just more purple inspiration.

Your New Best Friend: The Mason Jar

Could be cheesy, but you'd definitely get creativity points here!

Or you can just have pictures of you and your husband (!) up in fabulous old frames.

"Welcome to..."

I don't know what your reception is going to be like, but I just thought this little "Welcome to Georgia" tag was adorable! It doesn't have to be attached to a straw, or it could also say, "Welcome to Taccoa" or "Welcome to...". Just thought it was a cute little touch.

Also, the burlap in the picture to the left would be great for a little side table, like your candy station. This material is very low key and would convey a comfortable feel.

Key Points

  • Love for deep purple.
  • Likes the lime green addition.
  • She wants a down to earth and fun wedding!

Project Wedding's Purple Photographs

The Question for Marissa is: Elegant and Ritzy or Down to Earth Fun?

The question is whether or not you want your wedding to be more low key, relaxed, casual, and fun in nature OR do you want something more glamorous, regal (done frugally of course!), and fancy???
Both can be done in creative, beautiful, and romantic ways.

Beginning Ideas for Wedding Candy Bars

Now don't be intimidated by these colors, these are just ideas to get your wheels spin'n!

Just imagine purple and green flags hanging above. You'll most likely have much simplier candies than these, but this is just a fun "old fashioned" candy bar. You definitely do this in a more laid back way and it would be creatively fun.

Cheap Flowers

The easiest way to get cheap flowers for you wedding is to use ones that are in season for the date you've set. In Marissa's case she will need flowers that bloom in the summer for her June wedding. Here is a long list of summer flowers:
Either Marissa has done her homework or she is coincidentally in luck for the flowers she wishes to have for her wedding!
Lillies and Orchids
Here are my suggestions for more summer wedding friendly blooms:

Geraniums
Garden Roses
Gerbera

A Sage and Eggplant Wedding Palette

I will hopefully be compiling posts for Marissa's wedding in a year (next June 2011). So far all I know is that the following two things are important:

1. Sage green and eggplant purple will be the wedding colors.
2. This wedding must be a thrifty and affordable one! (as most have to be)

Will find out more musts in the near future!

Make note that along with sage and eggplant, Silver is encorporated. I believe that there are other colors that would work just as well...but I have yet to explore them!
